Still waiting for mine (and Vornheim), the waiting is unbearable

Especially when I read all the reviews that are now online ^^

Interesting...

I beefed up the dwarf a bit : he gets +1 to damage at levels 3, 6 and 9. +3 Damage at level 9 seems correct without going overboard.

It's no secret, we all come with our set of house rules.

My tweaks :

Skills
All characters start with 8 skill points they can put in any skill they want (the Specialist gets 12 points). No skill can receive more than 4 points.

So we can have a Fighter with a 4 in Bushcraft (here is our Ranger !) or a Druid (Magic-User + Bushcraft 4 + Smells funny).

My skill list : Backstab, Climb, Open locks, Pick pockets, Stealth, Survival, Traps, Tinker.

Now let's see what you have !

That book was part of my research for Weird New World. You can find the creature in the module if you squint not too hard. smile

Doh ! tongue

Other interesting WFRP 1st edition books : Marienburg and Middenheim. Two interesting cities, quite easy to drop in your regular campaign.

Someday I will do something as cool as Death on the Reik

I have no doubt about this.

Right now I'm reading Dan Simmons 'The Terror which really is a LotFP adventure waiting to happen, especially if you already have Weird New World.

Be sure to have a look at the Berserk manga. Awesome, disturbing and unique monsters ready to be used in any LotFP campaign;

In the rpg realm Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1st edition has a lot of things you can plunder for your LotFP games (once you remove the more goofy elements) : towns, NPCs... So is Dragon Warriors.

EDIT : and I almost forgot, get the Time Traveler's guide to 14th century england. Very inspiring and handy when you have to design people or places or need a rough idea of how justice and religion worked. Highly recommended !

For now I'm giving them a damage bonus : +1 at level 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 (so +5 maximum).
It gives them an edge without overshadowing the fighter. I'll see how it works in my ongoing campaign.

Not very flavorful but I find it fits well with the new dwarf illustration in the Grindhouse edition.

I run a game with my girlfriend as well. She created 5 characters, some of which managed to survive "Death Frost Doom". She liked the game so much I had to improvise another adventure on the spot.

So yes it works pretty well as long as the adventure is not too combat heavy I guess. Next time I'll run "No Dignity in death" for her, I'll keep you posted.

Another french guy, here, Alexandre, born in 1972. My first rpg was the red box in 1982. I like the whole RPG thing but D&D ? Not that much... Fast forward 28 years and lots of rpgs as a player but mostly as a GM. Not so long ago I read about LotFP on the Storygames forums, downloaded the rules, read them... And then I grabbed everything I could.

I know run a Dark Heresy game using LotFP (with a few twists of course) and just started two LotFP campaigns. So far, so good !
