I was specifically curious about the reverse to Cure Light Wounds, Cure Serious Wounds, etc.

I realize that many (most?) spells state whether a save is allowed, but not all do. If the spell description does not address the issue, should a save be allowed?

Even a spell like Sleep, which allows no save in the original source material, is ambiguous in LotFP. I assume no save is allowed, but the spell doesn't address the matter. I assume there is no save, as per tradition, but a statement of a general rule in the absence of notes in any specific case would be nice.

I find the rules for saving throws vs. spells very ambiguous. Some spells state that saving throws are allowed. Some spells state that they aren't allowed. So, which is the assumed default?
