For holy water, there are some monsters that might be immune to all damage except from magical weapons or holy water.

When I played original D&D we did natural 20 was double damage. In 4th Edition they made it maximum damage. DCC RPG has a bunch of critical hit and miss tables. So there are lots of options there.

Glipkerio thanks for the feedback. I've made those two fixes. I need to write tests to make sure it's working properly, but that's less fun.

This web application should correctly cast the summon spell.

Is making something like this cool? I probably should have asked first. Next time!

I worked on this a little bit last night. I have something that looks like this right now: http://cl.ly/IBBu. I need to add all the rules for domination next, and double check to see if I missed anything else. And then figure out how to host it somewhere. It shouldn't be tough to update things if you add new powers / forms.

Are the actual rules going to change a lot (and the lists of powers, forms, etc)? It still might be a fun little project. That spell is intense. Probably the best part of the spell section.

"Well shit, you've summoned suicidal thoughts."
"OK—wait, what?"

Between the flow chart and the spreadsheet, I can probably make a web application that spits out a summoned monster.

Since posting that last message I did up my contribution to Curtis' project. I have no idea what happened, but Jeff Rient's project jumped in contributions yesterday. (Someone pledged $500, and someone bought the adventures for a store pack.)

I can't seem to post in the RPG.net forums, but there is a thread there people might want to participate in. Even moving some of this discussion of the LotFP boards and have it happen elsewhere might make a lot of sense. It's not like the campaign needs exposure here.

I have $20 against the Michael Curtis adventure right now. I was going to bump that up to $100 sometime soon, since it looks like nothing is happening with his campaign and maybe he just needs a little help to cross the $1000 mark before people start chipping in.

I suspect it will be a while if he's just soliciting feedback for an errata now. I think he's getting new layouts done as well, which would take time and that might mean new art that would also take time.

I think he's meant to be annoying on purpose. The example of play is pretty great because it's a pretty acurate reflection of what an actual game would be like. I think it's great a character like Enrico was included. I also loved all the squabbling, people forgetting it was there turn to do stuff, forgetting how the rules work, etc.

You could also just roll up 20 such creatures before hand and then pick from those during play? (And once you've used one you could re-roll another one to fill in the empty slot.)

Has the controversy surrounding Carcosa had any influence on the subsequent writing you out out. (Did it have a chilling effect on your work?)

Have you read any criticisms of the rape and other controversial parts of Carcosa that you felt were interesting, valid, etc. (As opposed to shrill, knee-jerk, etc.)

What's the origin of the setting. Did it come out of your own home D&D games?
