Anyone ever consider running this and the other parts of the original Witchfire Trilogy with LotFP? I think I might start working on conversions...

So, I've been banging my head reading and rereading, but I wanted to be sure. There are no restrictions in LotFP on weapon and armor use are there? A sorcerer (or Magic-User if you like) can wear a chain hauberk and wield a longsword, just not as well as a soldier (again Fighter if you like). Correct?
If so, awesome. If not, and we are assumed be using rules known from another source, this should be explained in the new editions...though I will house rule it away
