The campaign is up to 11 sessions now.  We had some minor breaks here and there due to real life, and the fact that my laptop failed its saving throw vs. death...

Here is the playlist of all of the audio recordings, summaries, and player videos so far.

The weird evilness of Pembrooktonshire is being revealed to the characters like a rotten onion being peeled back slowly before their eyes.

Here is the 3rd session.  I had a lot of fun with this one.  smile

I guess read over what the descriptions of the Saves say and choose accordingly.  I'm not sure which would be better as I can see reasons to choose each one.

This is the 2nd session of the campaign.

Thanks Geoffrey.  I need to keep a list of words in front of me the next time I run the game so I use them.

I have a couple of hours to kill before my campaign starts.

How do people adjudicate actions that aren't specifically covered by skills?

Do you roll 1D6 and add in any stat modifiers?  Do you roll a D20 under Stat like Basic/Expert or Labyrinth Lord?  Do you just give a percentage chance for the action and just roll a D100?  Do you have them roll a skill that the action is closest to?

I think for normal actions I am partial to rolling under a Stat on a D20.

I'll keep it in mind that they might high-tail it out of the town after the case.  smile  I think they will stick around for awhile, but we shall see.

Thanks Skars.  I mean to do a Grindhouse Edition video at some point, but life is rather hectic.  Most of my free time has been planning this LotFP campaign.

I plan to use some of the other adventures as well if I can fit them in somehow.

I think I'm going to give the Green Devil Face #5 criticals and fumbles a try though I am going to modify some of them.  They look really chaotic and I like that.

I'm thinking that the Pembrooktonshiretonians use words like: tomfoolery, bamboozled, shenanigans, devilry, balderdash, jackanapes, rapscallion, lickety-split, lollygag, malarkey, nincompoop, ornery, skullduggery, etc.

Do you have any other silly words the folk of Pembrooktonshire might use in everyday use?  smile

Death Frost Doom above Pembrooktonshire...  Nice.  I like it.  smile

Thanks for the suggestions Yuritau.  smile  I'll keep that in mind.

I took the image of Pembrooktonshire in No Dignity In Death: The Three Brides and numbered all of the buildings in it.  Then I went through and tried to figure out where all of the NPCs in The People of Pembrooktonshire would be roughly.  I have it all worked out now so the PCs should be able to wonder around town and pop into any shop they want and I'm covered.  smile

I love how many side plots you can incorporate into a campaign through all of the NPC descriptions.  I need to go through it again and just jot down the things that can affect the whole town.

It's all up in the air till they get to level 2 anyway, so I have some time to think about the attack bonus thing.

Yep, the first adventure in Three Brides seems like a great place to start.  I've read over it a few times and took some notes.  I think I'm planning on putting a bunch of the NPCs on 3x5 cards, though that might take a lot of work.  hehe.  What is probably more efficient time wise would be to print out the People of Pembrooktonshire PDF and just take notes when actions in the campaign happen.

Here are my current house rules that I have whipped up.

4D6 for Stats and drop the lowest, roll straight down the line.

I'm using King Arthur Pendragon's Personality Traits system.  You basically have 20 points to spread between two extremes.  This is just to help flesh out the characters a bit as a tool to aid in role-playing their characters.

All of the D6 skills have a Stat associated with them so they get 1 extra pip for every +1 Stat Modifier.

I think for attack bonuses I'm going to use this.
Dwarves, Elves, Halflings and Specialists gain +1 AB at levels 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.
Clerics & Magic users gain +1 at 3, 6, 9, etc.

Max Hit Points at level 1, but after that roll for each level.

Dwarves, Elves, and Halflings get +1 Pip to Searching.

Clerics, Elves, and Magic-users don't need to memorize spells.  You can determine what spell you cast at the time of casting.  The number of spells per day is still the same.  Elves and Magic-users can only cast the spells that they have in their spellbook.

Hello,

This will be my first post here.  I did a review of the Deluxe Version of LotFP awhile ago on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-JMz1-7bNs

Anyway, I'm finally going to get a chance to run it via some fellow YouTube friends on Skype in the coming weeks.  I'm going to use the Deluxe Version since I have a physical copy of that (I have the PDF of the Grindhouse Edition).  After looking over the various modules, I figured starting out in Pembrooktonshire would be an ideal place to begin the campaign.  I also have the People of Pembrooktonshire that should add some flavor to the game.  It should be fun.

Anyway, what modules do you think would be best to pepper into the campaign from there?  I believe I have all of them now in physical or PDF format.

Also, if anyone has any generic pointers for running a game set in that town, feel free to speak up.

Thanks.
