Topic: Ability Score Generator

Yes, I know this is missing the point of hearing and watching 3d6 tumble across the table in that satisfying way that they do, but some players were frustrated by the numerous times they had to roll a set of ability scores before they finally rolled one that qualified under the rules (all modifiers sum up to +3 or more):

Re: Ability Score Generator

First try :

    * CHA 18
    * CON 16
    * DEX 17
    * INT 16
    * STR 7
    * WIS 10

Thanks for this !

"Officially," modifiers need to add up to at least 0. I just doublechecked the "Is the Character Suitable?" section in the beginning of the book so I didn't screw up there, but it's certainly possible something got goofed elsewhere... where are you getting that +3 from?

Re: Ability Score Generator

More or less like Kobayashi :
    * CHA 16
    * CON 15
    * DEX 18
    * INT 17
    * STR 17
    * WIS 4

Frenchman's luck or too-generous-programming ?

Re: Ability Score Generator

Wow, I have no idea where I got the +3.   That's bizarre.  Creating a set of stats like that would require substantially fewer rolls.  Feeling very lame now....

Re: Ability Score Generator

OK, so it now conforms to the actual rules. Also, there was a stupid error in the way die rolls were simulated that was inflating the values that is also fixed.  Given the actual rule, it's probably not needed in any event.
