Topic: Elves, dwarves, and halflings in LotFP

Do elves and dwarves have the same To Hit progression as fighters? In the combat section, there's definitely fighter options that are open to them, and the elf description implies that they do, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere.

Using knowledge of classic D&D, I guess it makes sense that they do. In that case, do halflings get to increase their abilities like a specialist?

Re: Elves, dwarves, and halflings in LotFP

Dwarfs and elves get the expanded combat options (Press, Defensive, the greater Parry) but do not increase their attack bonus. Halfling abilities do not increase as they level - their big gain in addition to hit points is their ridiculous saving throw progression.

It's been pointed out that the dwarf does need an extra oomph. What I've been thinking is that the Dwarf's CON modifier should be increased by 1 to really drive the tough guy thing home.

After (slowly) getting my head around the game, I find the demi-humans to be tough enough - although possibly because my games have been human-dominated for at least 10 years. Dwarves do, after all, have a large bucket of hit points.

It's not the years, it's the mileage.
